Postive Thinking

I know, with a title like that in these times you have to wonder what I am thinking. The truth of the matter is, I am thinking positive. I know were on a the downhill part still but I can't keep from thinking it is suppose to happen. I mean for so many years we have been in the "I" state of mind, it was just bound to happen. You had the rich getting richer, greed was the focus of "Big Business, " and the fellow man was just an after thought. You had people buying Hummers that never served in the military and people charging on Corporate America's credit cards like there was no tomorrow. It was the "good life, " or was it? I tend to think the reflection people were most paying attention to were in the eyes of those who looked at them. They saw there success in the eye of envy and that's where it all went wrong. For people to change sometimes they have to be hit with a brick wall, I think it's come and gone and now is just the re-verb of the initial blast. I think the change is possible, not because we wanted it because we need it. In every mis-step humanity takes I beleive there are more right steps to come. If you think you can't be it or do it, then read some History books. You'll have time in this market while reading the classifieds.

The Tattler

In the office when people are on the phone with personal business, is it anyone's job to run to the leader and interpret what they think maybe going on? Well it's happening people, so ssh ... use e-mail or text on your phone because it's not Big Brother you have to worry about anymore its the kids on the playground. Seriously, I thought the world was heading into a better place and then whamo.... the UN-confrontational wuss comes creeping up out of the darkness to sneak up on you like a worm. Beware fellow workers, keep a look out someone is always listening.

I guess they are as busy as you are.

Is change coming?

Well, we are 2 days away from the big event. I am sure D.C is buzzing. In the middle of all this excitement the reality of where this world really still exist. The recession continues, houses are still in foreclosure, the un-employment rate is rising, we are in bailout review and still no clear answers. We are about to spend an unknown amount for a party that celebrates the changing of the guard... I guess on credit? So my question is, how long before we get an IOU on tax refunds? Will it be this year, cause I am going to change my W2 and just start to estimate, then I will get my own IOU letterhead out and purchase the stamps to get ready. It's not that I am not excited about the possibilities but I am not drinking the wine until I see the change, not just hearing about it. I guess a little realist if you'd like and in these times I think you need to have both feet on the ground. Hang on with me, it's gonna be an interesting year:)

Sunrise, Sunset

I open my eyes and awake to the sun shining through my window
Allowing the beam to cross my skin as if it were awakening the depth of my soul
I stand and stretch reaching for what life has to offer today
Open to the morning, open to the day, in peace with the moment
Intertwined with the now, quiet and relaxed I smile and feel my body come to life
A breath of air to the lungs fills my soul with light
I feel my heart beat in tune with the start of the day
Aware of the new possibilities dawning
As water from my morning shower hits my awakened body I feel alive and free
Realization that another day is gifted
I dress, put on my face and smile as I start my daily routine
On my drive to work I sing as if I was the act at a Concert
I look around aware that in each car is another human being
Filled with hopes and dreams like my own
I work with defined purpose and honesty
I allow joy to fill my day
I head home
Thanking God for the beautiful day
Anxious to be with my family
Kiss my Husband and wait to hear my daughter’s voice
I anticipate the conversation and the new experience tonight will bring
Aware that the Sunrise and Sunset is never the same
Hoping we get another day

I love a recession

Now, I know it may sound crazy but can you believe the sales and promotions happening because of this crazy economy? I mean slap me silly. You know someone was rolling a few months ago when things were triple the price and we were paying it. Now, shoot cash is COW!!! I have been able to get things I have wanted because of the unbelievably low prices.... I also know how lucky I am to still have a job, have My Husband working and not to have lost our home because of some crazy mortgage scam. I just wanted to take a few seconds to celebrate the little things that are good about this reset, that's my new word for recession. I think we need it, and it will all be OK in the end. So those who are still in the running, come on along. I'll see you at the stores and online saving tons cause someone wants you to buy and are making it almost free to do so:)

Who's mouth are we feeding next

Is it me or are we spending money that we don't have? When we Bailout Businesses and use credit how in the heck are we going to recover? I mean I know that my 401K is down about 40% and I can't imagine Warren Buffet is happy so where is the money were giving away to help Business that DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO BUSINESS going? It's like a wishing well if you ask me, just throw it in and hope for the best. Bull Sh** in my book. How about Re-org and make it not an option but mandatory to get ANY kind of cash, AND collateral, Houses, Jets, Vacation Homes, Fancy Cars, I mean think of a bailout like a Pawn Shop, if you can make it work then maybe you can buy it back. I'd like to see some hustle in those Grey haired exec's, lets see what there made of when they don't have cash to fall back on. We could call it the new "Survivor." we can vote off every week, take all their millions and place it in the pot. Then we can vote on new and upcoming Entrepreneurs and their business ideas. Perhaps they won't have a lobbyist or a Board Member of anyone we know.

Let's clean some house and start at the top. We all know Shit rolls down hill, so get your boots on and let's play this game.

Exxon; Ford, Chrysler & GM, Line 2

Here’s a thought, since they all sleep together anyhow, maybe they should throw each other a bone. I mean its Nov- 2008 gas is $2.17 and these 3 American Car Manufacturers are having problems….hmmmm suspicious? Fortune teller say “no…. danielson merely downsizing mattress and someone has to go.” I can’t believe the Government is even THINKING about giving these companies money… for what? They do NOT manufacture cars AMERICANS want to drive. They are OVERPRICED GAS GUZZLING HOGS. When the Economy was living high on the credit hog we charged our $5.00 gas for these vehicles, but times are a changing grey hair exec’s and what are you doing? Flying to D.C in SEPARATE PRIVATE PLANES to ask for money because you SUCK!!!!
I could care less about you Millionaires who see NOTHING wrong with the way you chose to RUN your Business. Where was the Board of Directors? On the same plane I’m guessing. Well it’s the bottom of the workforce that suffers, but don’t discount human nature for sometimes taking care of their own problems.

Lollipop

Why do I feel dirty when I say this word? I can no longer hit up the local neighborhood liquor store and buy a bag of lollipops for my 3 yr old without thinking about the ‘new’ meaning of this word. Crap, why is it that you add a beat to a song by a young hip hop artist and this word is now something other then a delicious sweet snack, and now Superman’s in on it… what the heck is happening with music!? I mean don’t get me wrong, when it comes on I want to dance to it, but I also want to look around and see if I am the only one.

I just want to go in my room, shut the door and hide until it’s safe to come outside. I know that my conversations with my daughter are going to have to be some much more in depth then mine ever were, and I will make it happen, don’t you fret. I just want to tag out for a little bit. Where is “Prince ‘when I need him the most, last I heard getting his hip replaced, crap I’m getting old.

Say Goodbye to Bush

Can I start off with a YEH HAW? I think that's appropriate for a little man from Texas don't you? All I can say is come on Jan-09... bring it on! For me it was Obama all the way... I know what some of you may think.... I did vote Bush in the first election so I have changed my tune... that is what this Country is all about.. Freedom to pick and choose who you think can't fuck it up more then the other. Now it's not that I don't agree with some of what the McCain plan has, however he's a little old and I do worry about the skirt. It's not that I don't think a Woman couldn't be President, just not her. The election is cool, there are a lot of Prop's that are important, but you know the best thing about today? No more Candidate mailers and phone calls.I mean, seriously I've never talked to them before why should I start now? I am looking forward to not having to delete 22 messages on my phone from Duncan Hunter....

So I end today with this thought.

The Freedoms and rights we have are not deserved, they were earned by fellow Americans who chose to serve this Country with honor, remember how lucky we are to make our own choice, it is a gift not a grant.

Older & Wiser?

Writing this makes me smile. In my personal experience or shall we say experiment maybe 6 out of 10 times the answer to this question is no. Not because the people I hang with are stupid but because technology is moving at a rate that most of them just can’t keep up. I was realizing this when my 3yr old was looking at my I-phone and scanning through my pictures. Touch screen and all and I showed her one time. In about an hour’s time after that I was then asked by my mother who I LOVE how to delete a contact from her phone….. Which I had shown her about 5 times before, but I’m in for 6, 7 & 8 and maybe she will call me to ask again 9&10 unless she deletes me… LOL! I have no idea where technology is going in the next 5-10 years. I can only imagine that the India call centers will be busy, and John will be helping the older to the next level of wiser while making a $5.00 an hour for the $400.00 product we just purchased from China. Please hold, someone will be with you in a moment
