Temporary Lives

Since working in the Corporate World for almost 20 years now I have had my share of "Temp to Perm" jobs. I have often wondered if Big Businesses are so willing to see you as that in the very beginning what kind of faith do they have in their own ability to train and job growth for the Business? I mean what else in life do you start out as less than what is officially offered? Are you a Temp student? Temp Girlfriend, Boyfriend, Husband, Wife? If we really approached life as Business approaches employment could we possibly be as successful? I think the use of "Temp" has been utilized to the core end of what it should, and it allows the use of hard working people who obviously can do a job, have a "job" for awhile, yet not get anything for it. I think it is crap. It does not seem that anyone, even the Agencies that are in place look out for these people, as long as they get paid it's all good. I guess I'd like to see Business run on the "values" they state they have instead of the "values" the deem appropriate to publish in Business Magazines. They still want you to go above and beyond and prove you "deserve" a job, but the real questions is do they really "deserve" you?
